Root Grow Guidance Guard

Installation:

Excavate and remove the soil for tree hole as a rough square to  1000 Wide x 1000 x 400 Deep. (Our Guard is 770 x 770 x 450 in dimensions) dig a further additional hole or loosen the earth in a 500 x 500 square in the centre of the hole approximately 400mm deep to encourage root growth.

Chop up and loosen the soil around the outside perimeter of the larger hole to a depth of 250mm. (Encourages Root Growth down into the soft earth) a layer of sand 30-50mm deep around the edge of the large hole will assist in positioning the planter unit.

Install your Root guard with the top edge at the surface finish height you require this would be @ 50 mm of proud edge which in turn creates an integral lawn edge or natural break for grass cutting if required.

The product is suitable for use with:

Insert your tree in the centre of the hole, back filling the inside of the root guard with soil to 75mm of the surface always leave enough room to add 25mm of mulch or aggregate and a further 20mm from the top of the root guard to allow for water ingress.

Put around the outside of the root guard a compacted material non conducive to root growth.
